Safety and security are “hot” topics in the wood waste sector. The production of harmful dust during handling, fire risks in particular are the main subjects. In particular, WRA has drawn up a guide aimed at limiting the risk of fires and their spread. Regarding dusts, beyond personal protective equipment (masks and goggles mainly), operators are increasingly using fixed electrical equipment (grinders, screens) and hooded with specific equipments aspiring fine particles. But how fight against bad practices, like outdoor burning or fireplaces using wood wastes, responsibles of harmful emissions as dioxins ?
